Back up and running

I spent some time sorting out my digital photos and used the QOOP site to create a photo book for my mom. She is in a nursing home now, and has memory trouble some days. So I captioned a lot of pictures of her grand- and great-grand children. It was so convenient and will make a beautiful gift for her.

I am back, after being a reluctant drop-out, trying to remember what I learned! Thanks to all of my colleagues (those who knew) for their kind words and various expressions of sympathy on the passing of my dad.
For those of you who posted blog comments, my apologies for a lack of response--I just wasn't here for a while.
Now that my brain is getting re-focused on work again, I am diving back in to the blog to make up for lost time-- I am so jealous! You all have done some gorgeous things.. but just wait :)

Awesome street art site!

Check out this incredible piece of street art!

Found in Flickr group search, street artists -- not your run-of-the-mill subwaygraffiti guy!

Mashup ? More potatoes, please!

Not sure I totally "get" what a mashup is -- but I finally uploaded a photo onto the blog. --Got to remember to bring my camera in to catch some of my office toys in candid shots! (The flying pig that lives on my monitor can be very tempermental about having his picture taken.)
I already had a Flickr account (old Yahoo photo account defaulted to Flickr) , but I really liked the little tutorials--found out a lot more about ways to customize my photos and fool around with their colors and turn them into Mosaics, etc.

Pez for all!

It's A Toy! It's A Candy! It's PEZ!!

Check out http://www.burlingamepezmuseum.com for a peek into the world of the collector. One of many wacky sites for PEZ lovers.

7 1/2 habits assignment

Hmm.. Beginning with the end in mind is easy for me, especially things that have many components– I can see how they all come together.

What’s hard: H2 and H4 :
H2 - taking responsibility for learning– which is why I love this process–it keeps me on track. I have the self-discipline of lint.

H4 - having confidence in learning–old,dog, new tricks , yadda-yadda …biggest challenge is remembering all the log-ins and passwords I have. Practice,practice,practice!

Get with the program

Now that I am practicing more, I am getting a lot more comfy in my blog-ness. I just put up a profile and I started reading some others' --just posted a comment to one. Thinking about phots to post--perhaps a nice headshot of my favorite TweetyBird Pez dispenser?-- just like Jerry Seinfeld's!

I could get used to living in the 21st century.
